Hello, I’m The0didactus from the ADRIFT community. I’m here to spread the word that you can now play our games online again! (This is a big development as of last night)
Because we have some games in the comp, I thought I’d link to ones that can be played online:
This is huge news for us ADRIFT-ers. I’d like to note (because these are both kinda big games) that you can “Save” them by just typing “save”…at which point the game will give you a key command allowing you to re-load that saved game.
Due to some technical problems, not all games, which can be played online has a “Play Online” button on the IFcomp site. Therefore, the links to online play for three IFcomp ADRIFT games are given below:
The ADRIFT site is experiencing some technical problems right now, so the only ADRIFT game which can be played online right now is SKYBREAK! and if you try to run it via the ADRIFT site that doesn’t work either. To play SKYBREAK! at the moment, you must use the “Play Online” button on the IFcomp site: https://ifcomp.org/play/2010/play_online
We are working on the problem. In the meantime, if you want to play “The Call of the Shaman” and “Treasure Hunt in the Amazon”, you must download the games and play them locally. Due to a technical issue, the server, which is hosting “Treasure Hunt in the Amazon” and “The Call of the Shaman” has been very unstable the last week or so (it is also hosting “Skybreak!” but the “Play Online” button on Ifcomp’s homepage points to a different server, which is only hosting “Skybreak!”).
The problem seems to be fixed now. Sorry for the inconvenience. The links are still:
