I did hear a metal cover of “Dragostea din tei”, by Feuerschwanz. XD
That is exactly what I had in mind. And I shamefully admit it sounds good in my ears…
Today I came to the conclusion that I need to find a CD of Christmas music by Nat King Cole.
So I now happen to learn what this Mastodon band is which you were talking about. (I falsely assumed it were a band posting on the Mastodon social network.)
Sounds not bad, but a bit slow for my taste. I would prefer either mainstream rock or fast hardrock/metal.

Mastodon has a few speeds.
The first one is a nice one!
The second one gives me the message “The content is not available. Playing something different”. (Then playing something from Sepultura.)
Ahahaha wow, that song is being put through the wringer in as many ways as possible. It’s available in my region and it’s the censored radio version. A third of the chorus is missing lol. Speed-metal song about being absolutely livid and wanting to furiously destroy someone lol.
This is one of those “rock/metal” songs that is just so damn catchy. Might be more your speed.
Alexisonfire - Boiled Frogs
Spent 2 hours working on a song and listening to both these songs repeatedly to get the same feel. My favourite James Gang songs, for sure
Man, I forgot that existed!
I like 12 Days of Christmas variants, but that one falls a bit flat for me. 2 that I like that aren’t variants of the standard(the Partridge, turtledoves, french hens, calling/Mocking Birds, Golden Rings, Geese and swans are pretty much universal, and its almost always 8 maids a milking, but 9-12 get shuffled a lot and while Ladies Dancing, Lords a Leaping, Pipers Piping, and Drummers Drumming are what I’m used to, I’ve known some of them to be swapped out for less common lines, and the one recording I have in my CD collection moves the Maids to 9, and trades out both Pipers and Drummers) are the version by the Sinatra family which is down in the traditional style, but replaces all of the gifts with things an early-mid 20th century nuclear family might give their father and the Redneck 12 Days of Christmas by Jeff Foxworthy, which dispenses with the slow build up(the first recitation counts down from 5 and then there are several countdowns from 12 interspersed with commentary about redneck culture and the holiday and replaces all the gifts with redneck gifts.
I miss Rina Sawayama’s older music! Her first two albums were very good.
I’ve been listening to Majid Jordan, Tinashe, and Yves.
Here in Belgium, we’re at nr. 33 in the annual Tijdloze 100 (“Timeless Hundred)”. Metallica is 33, playing now. Tom Waits’ Martha was nr.35.
Lemme guess, #1 is Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody”?
Close. Bohemian Rhaposody came in sixth this year. Pearl Jam won with Black.
And I saw comments on a youtube video joking that Bohemian Rhapsody always comes first in one of those top 100 of all time votes. Must be the Netherlands XD
