This line from WATT demolished me

You’d never stop a child mid-sentence and demand they prove their love for ice cream. You’d never tear apart their smile for evidence. Why, then, do you doubt yourself when you say you love someone?

Damn, this will be sitting with me. Hats off.

As a first-time participant, I’ve been absolutely floored by the level of writing I’ve encountered in many of the games I’ve played, both in terms of experimentation and execution. This one is a great example of the word-forward play experience I’ve found in several IFcomp entries. Whether it’s bathos or pathos or even the reviews being written about the games, I haven’t ever encountered a devotion to the study of how words play taken so seriously before. It’s been a delight.

I doubt because I’m allergic to being wrong in a big, public way, heh.

Awww thanks so much  This came out of a conversation I had with my co-writer Ces; I feel like we tend to overcomplicate love these days when at its core, is really just an overwhelming feeling of happiness (might lead to pain and suffering afterwards but at its core…)
