Can’t edit the sheet so here:

  • Artful Deceit, 0/1 - no boats (unless implied because one of the character is a millionaire, and that would be a safe assumption)
  • 20 Exchange Place, 0/1 - no boats (unless you take into account that it’s NYC, and there are boats, but not mentioned or playable)
  • Dr Ludwig and the Devil, 0/1 - no boats
  • My Brother; The Parasite: 2, cabin by the lake, iirc mention of a boat
  • GameCeption, 0/1 - no boats
  • The Whisperers - no boats
  • Virtue - mention of canals, safe assumptions of boats (it’s set in Britain)
  • The Ship - 10, duh
  • Please Sign Here - no boats
  • One King to Loot them All - 4, you get on one
  • Milliways: the Restaurant at the End of the Universe, does space ship count?
  • The Library of Knowledge - a chapter or two is on a boat (pirate ship)
  • Help! I Can’t Find My Glasses! no boats

Sadly Dysfluent does not have any boats or anything boat-adjacent (though a dedicated player could insert small boaty elements into the game by using the text input fields!)

Name? Captain McShippington

Expletive of choice? Shiver me timbers!

Favourite food? Gravy boats

Favourite movie? Waterworld

There are boats in Barcarolle (4), but can I get a +1 because of the title?

Beat Witch implies the existence of boats in the last scene, so I guess half a point?

I would like to submit Hand Me Down for a few points. While there is no boat in the game, there is a character who is explicitly a naval captain and I make a joke about boats vs ships designed to annoy any naval enthusiast.

Probably a 4, right?

It just occurred to me that “Gestures Towards Divinity” has a description of a still photo from the film Battleship Potemkin. However, the person in the still photo is on the Odessa steps rather than the ship itself.

I think that gets it a 3, right?

Paintball Wizard features a boat used for travelling between locations (near the end game) so four points, maybe?

Maybe √3 since it is an existing work inside of the game itself?

While reading the Wikipedia article about the square root of 3 (1.7320508075688772935…), I came across a geometric illustration of the square roots of the first 6 natural numbers represented as distances in a double unit cube. The square root of 3 is the space diagonal (through the inside, rather than on the surface) of a unit cube. This sort of stuff blows my mind with pure awesomeness.

Just to check, are you actually interested in making a stuffed animal prize for the BOAT GOAT? If not, I’ll make the little commemorative token thing and submit that to the organizers, but the stuffed goat sounds so much more fun.

Boatiness must be rewarded!

BOAT GOAT! Maybe we can place it on a pedestal in the Lounge between Comps and burn little sacrificial drakar-boats on an altar before it.

This turned up in my Google feed this afternoon - I can’t imagine why!

Why is the English language packed with nautical slang?

in a nut, Britannia rules the waves because was surrounded by waves, and because of that, many bretons prowled the waves, and wetting the english spread overseas…

I think this can became a good limerick, but I can’t write it… someone want to try ?

Best regards from Italy,

Ha! Way to join the fun, Mike! Sorry Rov… do I mind what? If you’re wanting to put this specimen in the thread where all the others are, that’s totally fine with me! And of course I don’t mind if people want to start limericking elsewhere!

Well, I meant if you would mind finding out where the leak is. We’ll be wading in limericks before you know it.
