The Really Bad IF jam is coming came is back!
Originally it was going to be just May, but I extended it until the end of June, just because.

The *REALLY BAD IF* jam unranked interactive fiction jam where the goal is to simply make really bad IF games.

Bring your terribly written, bug-riddled coded, nonsensical-story games along!

Want to make a troll game? Go for it :woman_shrugging:
An impossible to finish-game because you “forgot” to code one object? Come right along.
Something that looks SO UGLY it will make people cry blood? Sure! (I mean add TW but sure)

Same Rules as last year:
  • This is supposed to be a silly jam. So no ranking. You don’t even have to leave rating or comments enabled on your page.
  • I will seriously boot out games that are actually good. Don’t submit you critically acclaimed games you think have flaws!
  • Any language used, however badly you want it to use.
  • Add CW if relevant, esp for NSFW entries !!!
  • No AI, no LLM, no Spam entries, no Hate content. Included in the game page/title card.

Here is something, attached as a zip file since I’m not keen to create an account on itch.

It is a parody of a very good and popular game on the recent Spring Thing, so it’s bad in the way of just ripping off someone else’s ideas and making fun of it all.

Warning: lots of violence.

My wife and I made a really bad game for this jam. It’s a parody of a certain genre of books popular on certain corners of the internet and also takes everything mildly annoying about IF (timed text, extensive character creator, timed text, minigames, timed text) and puts it into one game that you can play at this link → The Ballad of Light and Shadows by 30x30, tamburp
