Thirst for Blood
Short and… sweet? The way the room is sorta diamond shaped threw me a little at first. I don’t know why; that kind of ring structure is common enough in parser IF. I liked the twist(s) – the surreal human-like/very-much-not-mosquito-like narration there was fun. I was reading something recently where a guy was bragging about being able to shoot out the eye of a mosquito at 30 paces and the other person came right back with something like “ah, so that’s why there are so many mosquitos going around with eye patches in the West Indies” and this reminded me of that.
