On paper, having only the top three plus what in cyclism is called “il gruppone” (the “honorably mentioned” group), so in line with my now-very-strict rules of engagement (no full ranking table, period.), but the real non-engagement issue is elsewhere, namely the final deadline, 6 sept. 2026 three months earlier than the estimated date (mid-december 2026 for the 0.99RC, late december/early 2026 for the final 1.0) so, albeit having actually a introcomp-grade major work practically ready to deploy, I’ll pass this year…
Seeing this as a chance to get motivated and get some feedback, I have entered my intent with the blurb of the project I am currently working on. I am essentially a newbie, so don’t expect a piece of art, I just try to put something together that people may enjoy.
BTW, are there any restrictions on updating/replacing the uploaded version of the game?
Re: issues with the site
Got confirmation from Feneric that it’s fixed (and double-checked myself!)
Sorry, can’t say for certain whether you can/can’t.
Reaching out to @Feneric directly might be your best bet (he isn’t often on the Forum, mainly on Mastodon).
All official IntroComp correspondence will be conducted through email (though quick questions may be asked through Twitter – we’re @IFIntroComp, or better yet, reach out to Eric directly on Mastodon @Feneric@mastodon.social). If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, email us at: introcomp@introcomp.org
Sent the e-mail and got a quick reply. There are no special restrictions on updating/uploading (at least not till the deadline which was what I asked about), although technical issues can not be rules out as people usually don’t update/upload repeatedly.
Sorry if this seems a bit clueless… I’ve got a game that’s an art project, (eg not going to go on to being something commercial) - is this the best spot to submit it?
It certainly can be! IntroComp is specifically for works that are unfinished, and people vote based on which intro they most want to see finished. If that sounds like your project, this is a good place for it!
Hi everyone!
I submitted my game to IntroComp (made with Ren’Py), but I was only able to include the Windows version in the zip file, since it’s the only one that fits under the 100MB limit.
I also added download links for the macOS and Linux builds in the README.
I emailed introcomp@introcomp.org to ask if there’s a better way to upload more than 100MB to include all platforms, but haven’t heard back yet.
Just wanted to check if anyone else has run into this and knows the best way to handle it?
First of all, allow me to say that I am really excited about this competition. And hearing the above posts, I am intrigued about the other entrants.
Then, I suppose that the voting period starts August 2nd, after the entry deadline, right? I have asked a coding question related to my project in the other forum, and it seems to be a more difficult issue than I expected. Just to make sure when I need to put that question on ice.
Yours,
Deathworks
EDIT: Are the entries publicly available during the voting period? I know I am not allowed to vote, but I might want to have a look at the other entries. I can be a curious person at times
