I know we’re thick in the middle of IF Comp, so this exercise is a little lighter than previous ones. We look at the IF Comp 2008 winner Violet, known for its excellent parser-as-character one-room puzzler. We’ll focus on the character opportunities that a parser response offers.
Last exercise was pretty heavy on writing, design and implementation, so this time around it’s a lot simpler. They are definitely achievable in between enjoying IF Comp 2026 entries.
