Hi, I’ve been using Fabularium (very good app; between Fabularium and ScummVM, my tablet is the gaming machine I’ve always dreamed of), and I’ve got a few issues to report. I’ve e-mailed Tim Cadogan-Cowper, as per the app’s Help text, twice; and since the app was last updated roughly one year go (give or take a couple of weeks) I figured it was not dead or discontinued.
Thing is, I’m not at all certain that my e-mails got through. The first one had no reply of any sort (the second one went out just this morning). That doesn’t necessarily mean that it didn’t go through, or was set aside because the project is dead; but, unfortunately, it also doesn’t necessarily mean it was received and acknowleged. When there’s no feedback, one just doesn’t know. Much like in a game.
Is there maybe an alternative way to share the issues? These include the interpreters crashing reliably under certain conditions (including split-screen with another app, in my case IFMapper; and also including (dis)connecting physical keyboards while a game is in progress) and the screen getting too bright and glare-y, only at certain points, when using a physical keyboard. I can provide more information if needed, but I don’t want to waste people’s time if this isn’t the place for it and no one involved in Fabularium stops by occasionally.
BTW… I’m not dead set on using Fabularium. If there’s a better Android app around that plays as many parser-based, downloadable-for-offline-play games… or, alternatively, an app that may not play as many but support them better (so I can use Fabularium for some, and that other app for the rest)… then I don’t know about it! If I could be pointed in the right direction I’d be most thankful!
Did you get the updated version of Fabularium from F-Droid?
Although the author field there lists Tim Cadogan-Cowper (since he’s the original and main author), I think that the upload on F-Droid was actually done by David A. Roberts, with contributions by our forum colleague @Keltena, who can probably say more about the current state of development.

A while ago, user @preroq started work on a new fork called Fictionarium:
Cool, thanks for all that information! Then I’ll post my issues in that Fabularium - Android GLK + TADS HTML IF interpreter” thread, it seems to be where it fits best. Thanks!
