When I tried to edit a post in the itch.io thread, I ended up with a near-duplicate post. I’ve deleted it now, but I’m not convinced that this is the intended behaviour.
Attempting to report the issue to Discoursa Meta revealed that their site doesn’t load on my computer, unlike this one.
(I’m on Firefox 115.26.0esr (64-bit) - this computer can’t run anything newer and the computer that theoretically could run a newer browser is in the process of being reinstalled. Again.)
I wonder if the edit duplication happened because you were working on it while I was doing the server update? Let us know if it happens again.
I hadn’t thought the dropping of support for old browsers (discussed previously) had happened yet, but maybe the Discourse Meta is doing it a little earlier? They had said July, but the next big release hasn’t come out yet.
For this forum we’re planning to switch to the stable branch, to hold off dropping support until around Jan next year.
