Why can't I use hints.t?

I’ve been trying to add quest to my game and it looks like I need hints.t to make this possible but when I add it, my project acts like it doesn’t exist. In fact, looking through my computer, I can’t find it, despite having tads 3 workbench.

I’m very confused. do I need to download it? Is it not included with the workbench?

Funny, I was just learning about hints and menus. Have you looked at the Example 23 game?

It includes a menu and hint system.

Could you elaborate on this? What is the context of ‘quest’ above, and where are you pointed to hints.t? I am not aware of of a hints.t (nor could I find one in the if-archive), though the standard adv3 hint system is implemented in a file called hintsys.t which should be built in by default.

Concur with JJMcC: there’s no hint.t in my complete collation of adv3 and a3lite libraries and contribuited libraries, and neither on if-archive, either.

So, also I suggest that “hint.t” is actually hintsys.t
