I’m researching in advance of writing some interactive fiction games. I had been looking at Inform 7, reading through its documentation online, but was offput by some of its crustier technical legacies, like lack of first-class Unicode support. My niggles with it can mostly be easily worked around with community extensions, but I wanted to survey the field before settling on Keeping It Simple, Stupid and using the “community standard” that Inform seems to be.
All that to say, I can’t actually find Dialog’s current documentation, to read in advance of making a decision. Inasmuch as Dialog is an exciting, ongoing concern, that’s because the community, with particular thanks to Daniel Stelzer taking the lead, have amicably taken it over from its founder. Lovely! But, I can only find its original documentation.
Is there somewhere online one can read the documentation for the current, community release?
(If not, and if I wind up choosing Dialog, I can maybe help improve that: I’m a web developer. I do see that this is a very small community!)
