What's the best way to write TADS on Mac?

VSCode? Some kind of online tool, like Playfic, but for TADS? Using Workbench via something like VMWare?

I use the VSCode extension!

Is it as good as Workbench?

I’ve only been on Mac, but @inventor200 seems to think so…

You don’t get the debugger tool, but in every other way it’s better because all of your other coding plugins get to be used for your TADS code as well. Having a spellchecker for TADS code is an absolute game changer.

Also to be completely honest, I’ve never needed a debugger for any language, because I can usually debug stuff myself with one or three well-placed print statements and the rubber duck method, so that probably is a bias on my end.

In my short programming life I have found this to be the case as well…

+1 for the VS Code extension, in concert with the “Code Spell Checker” and “Mac Dictionary” extensions.
