What's the best Christmas movie?

Never actually seen Its a Wonderful Life.

A Muppet Christmas Carol was a highlight of the marathon of Christmas Carol adaptations I did last year. Probably my favorite funny adaptation. Another highlight was the version with Patrick Stewart aka Captain Picard as Scrooge… Which reminds me I still have two versions I downloaded last year I haven’t gotten around to yet, one from 2009 that stars Jim Carry if memory serves, and another from the 2020s. Focus on the family radio Theatre’s audio dramatization is still my favorite version period, but it isn’t a movie and has the advantage that it was made for audio-only consumption while movie versions I either miss out on visual aspects altogether or relyy on descriptive audio that, even when produced by the studio that made the movie, is often an after thought and doesn’t always fit seamlessly into the rest of the movie’s audio.

it’s a wonderful life is my real answer, I used to watch it as a tradition. but that tradition has been supplanted by watching the green knight. to put in a good word for it as a christmas movie-- it takes place on two christmases which are plot significant, has a Christmas Game in it (also plot significant), and the first words of it are “Christ is born”. it’s also fucking fantastic
