I didn’t even see the relation.
Finally got my profession in Fallen London - I’ve become a Rat-Catcher.
Having a blast with the game!
Good luck with the preparations! Have fun, drive safely, and eat deliciously. I hope you and Tom both have a blast!
I usually never bother with gel nails because of the increased effort and cure time, (I hate going to nail salons because I cannot stand being touched by a stranger for that long) but yesterday was my birthday, so I decided to go for a little extra.
Which is how I’ve got teeny tiny green/pink gems, holographic heart and star glitters, and iridescent pinky-purples and a cool toned purple accent nail, and Sanrio nail stickers (Hello Kitty’s bow at an angle, and Hello Kitty in a sweets themed monster costume because it’s from a Creme Shop x Sanrio collab with a Sweets theme).
They should hold up a lot better to all of the acetone and hand sanitizer flying around the lab and general life too, which is great! Usually I’d have to touch up a few nails every week or so with the beating that I give them.
Also got an adorable Kuromi blindbox keychain and acrylic stand that’ll be converted into a keychain, some My Melody stickers, and a pastel floral lavender mechanical pencil as little day-of gifts. Super cute… I’m saving the My Melody stickers to put onto my new journal when it comes in. Soooooooo pink.
I’ve been taking pictures on my walk home and sending them to the Campfire Meows, which is really fun. It’s nice to be able to share something interesting, (like an odd profusion of snails) or meaningful (one of my favourite pigeons from the flock, Spot) or that reminded me of something they’d shared before (a flower that looked like one from one of their gardens.) It also helps remind me to keep an eye out for joy- even if it’s as silly as a wild coloured squirrel, and to share it with the people I care about. I thought about you, I wanted to share this moment with you, I love you.
Beautiful trip! My family used to travel that area from time to time. We hope to do it again someday. We love southern goodness especially BBQ!
Enjoy!
Good news is finally getting the family doctor letter I need to apply for excusal from jury duty on medical grounds. Rather sobering is seeing my doctor write to the court that I’m medically unfit due to my “progressive neurological disorder”. We’ve never discussed the progression side, just coping, lurching through, year by year since he became my medic in 2004. It’s like a huge unspoken thing. But yup, glad he was direct. I am going to have a huge haddock supper (I.e. with chips - Scottish term “supper”) and beer to celebrate.
The mechanical engineers are making use of their 3D printers again (class projects or something of the sort), so I’ve now gotten access to the one in the electrical engineering lab, which has the side benefit of showing me exactly how it’s progressing!
3D printers are so cool.
France is 3w-0l so far in the Rugby WC! Won today with the highest point difference ever for France, 96-0 . Poor Namibia for not being able to score even a penalty… Even after 20min of play, it was clear this was going to be a bloodbath…
A very very good game tho
I’m getting another covid booster today, and I should probably just write off the rest of the evening…but also the art for Stormrider is coming in and I’ve got a new batch of tester transcripts to get through. So depending how I feel I might spend the day going through those and preparing a new build, which (gods willing) might be the transition from “beta” to “release candidate”.
As my birthday present (early due to timing reasons) I got an AWESOME electric guitar! My first, and I’ll be using it as soon as I get back…
Pictures would be nice!
good playing !
(in the music sense, of course)
Best regards from Italy,
dott. Piergiorgio.
Beautiful Yamaha! I’ll bet it plays and sounds very nice!
I have attached my S Types. I enjoy guitars and a banjo.
Wow! Those are nice. How much were they? (Most in the stores were like SGD800 but we got it for 350.)
Yamaha makes exceptional musical instruments. I have always loved their pianos, especially the Clavinova. You got a very good buy on your Pacifica.
My guitars are mid range and probably twice what you paid for yours. I am an old guy and have had them for years.
We’ve gotten some rain in my area the past couple days and there’s supposed to be quite a bit of it for the next few, and I’m very happy about that. Summer has been very long and very hot. I missed the rain; life just feels right for some reason when it falls. I love it. I’m hoping it will get heavier soon. It’s been relatively light.
Been going around my remaster to make sure all works well, and found two of my custom macro not playing nice… and despaired because it was JavaScript code
BUT I FOUND THE ISSUE BY MYSELF and fixed it
(it was literally missing one letter…)
