Last night was pretty scary, and I’m still kind of shaky (from the blood loss and exhaustion post adrenaline dump) but we got through it and things are okay now. It was really eye opening to the sense of community and compassion that IF meowmeows have.

I had to buff smooth and even out the raw edges of my nails where they had broken off from clawing frantically last night, and thankfully nothing’s bleeding a lot, and only two fingers had raw wounds along the edges where they tore off, I’ve staunched the bleeding, and my hemorrhage that tore open last night has slowed, even if it’s tender- should be fine. Put on some nail hardener, and brushed out my hair, and am waiting patiently for the dryer to be done with my blankets to be nice and extra cozy. It’s nice to take care of things like that.

Got some little gifts of an adorable Sanrio holiday themed crew neck sweater and some yummy flavoured chapsticks. Yay! Strawberry, watermelon and lemon.

Doing more of a natural colour because a more subtle finish looks nicer on very short, rounded nails. Usually I only go for more graphic or ostentatious looks with shaped nails- a soft almond finish is my usual shape. Settled on Sally Hansen’s Shell Yeah, which is a warm toned, pearl finish, light (not pastel) pink, and finishing it with the Sugar top coat from the same brand.

Yay!! Heard back from a friend and that she’ll be home safe and sound and snug like a bug in a rug soon! It’ll be good to have her back, and it was super fun, as it always is, to talk with her and catch up. I missed her.

Every year, the Dutch public radio broadcast between Christmas and New Year the Top 2000 songs voted by Dutch peeps the first week of December. This year, the top 11 is the same as last year (shocker /s). But the funniest thing:

So happy. Ate two yummy purple yams for dinner and now I’m warm and comfy in my new favourite sweater and snuggled up in bed, with fresh linens and two pink blankets and I’m full and content. Going to relax for the rest of the year, haha. New Years is my favourite holiday, and there was snow on the very last day of the year when I’ve been so sad about it not snowing at all this winter, which was a total miracle and I was so thrilled and we played and it was lots of fun. And now I’m comfortably sleepy… Good way to end things.

I played Repeat the Ending. I loved it. @kamineko, you are a creator of magic. You are among my favourite authors. I especially liked D’s character, and Brad as well was a really nice character.

Hmmm, I should probably play more choice IF! I played a lot of 2022’s choice more, but this year it’s more Put Your Hand Inside the Puppet Head and The Gift of What You Notice More, which are good!

I slept hard, and I slept in, and now I’m awake and I’m listenin’ to some good music and it’s a good start to the year. I had a good end to the year too. Hope we can all get through the year, good or bad!

Made myself a little sort of charcuterie board for my first meal of the New Year. Lunar New Year has a much stronger emphasis on foods you eat during it, so I like to have something a little special for the other NYE too.
Way more meat than I usually have, but I think post hemorrhage I’ve been craving it really badly, probably because of the higher bioavailability of the iron, (I used to have really severe pica and similar cravings prior to my diagnosis of terrible iron deficiency anemia and hemophilia) so I’m just enjoying it for now.

It’s just that good. And I think others agree. On IFDB (that’s just my way of rating popularity), if you look up games published in 2023, it comes up at the top of the second page (21st place! and note that this year had some really popular games), surpassing quite a few that I would say most people rated very highly.
