Vorple And Release Files

Hi there. I understand that Vorple can use files from anywhere on the Internet as long as they’re accessible- Jpgs, mp3s, ogg vorbis (vorbises? Vorbii?)

Does this functionality extend to files included in the Materials and, subsequently, the release folder?

If I, say, want to include a map in a version of the game which I’m uploading to Itch, but I don’t have anywhere to host the file, can I package the map with the rest of the game in the Zip folder?

And, if so, does the same apply to audio?

I understand that this is probably something that I could figure out quite easily on my own- however, I don’t have my computer at the moment, and I’m really interested in the particular capabilities of Vorple when packaged along with the assets used.

Thank you,
TK

Yes, you just put all your assets (of whatever type) in the .zip that you upload to Itch. When referring to them for Inform/Vorple purposes you treat them as if they’re in the release folder/the same directory as index.html.

The plural of ogg vorbis is “ogg vorbbbbbbbb.”
