Trying to remember an old mecha parser game

I was looking through some of my IFDB lists of games by genre and was looking at Victor Gijsber’s mecha game from a while back.

I remembered that there was another mecha game from I think the 2000’s (could be way off!). It was big, but buggy, and had special/psychic teenagers piloting mecha for one part and running through a base for another part. I can’t remember if it was Inform or Adrift. Does anyone remember a game like this?
