Has anybody used the Harlowe save to File utility by Kajot-dev on github?
I’m having trouble installing it.
I downloaded the zip from Github then cut and pasted the javascript from the dist folder into my javascript story section. When I try to run the demo story.html I get the error:
There is a problem with this story's 1st script:
Error: No utils/renderutils
Error: No utils/renderutils

at f
A and F are not writable drives for me so I can’t create folders at those locations.
warning: Harlowe 3.x has been deliberately designed by its Developer to limit an Author’s ability to use JavaScript to extend the functionality of their project, or of the story format’s runtime engine. This Developer also often changes the internals of that runtime engine when they release a new version, so JavaScript related extensions/hacks that “worked” previously may stop working or behave differently in later versions of Harlowe 3.x
What web-browser (brand & version) are you using to open the Story HTML file?
What operating system (brand & version) are you running that web-browser on?
[if using a mobile device] Does the device support saving non web-based file types locally?
Thanks Greyelf.
I think I’m gonna persevere with Sugarcube. I had a wobble at the weekend and almost regressed to Harlowe but in the long run I think Sugarcube will be a better fit.
