Hellow everyone,
If someone is interested on creating Gruescript games from the mobile phone like when traveling, etc. or as an alternative for PC, I designed an interface called MAGGE (Make A Gruescript Game Engine). It is designed in Quest and basically lets you create the game and then download the transcript with the code to be used in Gruescript for testing or downloading the game.
As you know there are very few apps to create IF from the phone on a friendly environment. So, that’s why I created my own tool. It is very intuitive, you don’t have to type too much in your phone, just use the menu options and it is not needed a big understanding of Gruescript so it is good for kids as well or newbies. Also, if you want to type code freely there is that option as well.
I added several interesting features like:
- You can create several items at the same time by typing a list.
- You can create several rooms and exits at the same time using the Mapping option.
- When adding verbs if the object does no exit it creates automatically the items.
- Create the setverbs automatically.
- You can easily edit, delete or change the code.
- You can mix typing the code with choosen codes from the menu.
- You can use templates for messages.
- And much more (can’t remember now, lol)

My tool is in beta, so feedback or bug reports are welcome. The transcript will remain in your browser cache as long as you don’t clean it.
Now, I don’t know if Robin or Alex from Quest will approve my idea, so I am ready to remove this post if needed and just use the tool for my personal consumption.
