Very cool! That’s an awesome game and impressive that you translated it given how large it is. Appreciate your work, though I don’t speak Swedish.

This is very cool! One think I really dig about RtDD is that it’s a reasonably faithful translation of a very particular real-world phenomenon – the puzzle-based “stacks” of Caltech’s annual Ditch Day – so it’s neat that Swedish folks will have an easier time experiencing it for themselves!

(Ditch Day Drifter has a similar premise, of course, but it quickly takes a turn for the fantastical and has a much smaller map, so RtDD I think provides a notably more authentic take on Ditch Day)

Thank you! It was a lot of work. Even though I used different AI services to translate a lot of the strings in bulk, I still had to go through each sentence and rewrite a lot of them to keep the swenglish out. The english roots are still very prevalent in the results of an AI-translation. It’s especially hard for them to translate idioms and proverbs correctly, and putting the words in the “correct” order for natural sounding sentences. Even so, it helped considerably and shortened the time to produce a finished game with months.

I think some of swenglish might have slipped through anyway, so I’ll probably release a few updates as I hopefully gather feedback from players, and from my own future findings.
