The People's Champion Tournament matches begin next weekend!

FYI to all fans of interactive fiction: The first matches of the People’s Champion Tournament begin next weekend at noon on Saturday March 8th UTC time.

The “big board” for showing current standings is now up, and the “Meet the Contestants” pageant introducing the contestants is now complete. (Thank you again, @mathbrush!)

Only one game can surpass the others to become the winner – and match results are drive by your votes. Join the fun at any time by going to the PCT Fans group page, reviewing the honor code for players/fans, and clicking the “Join” button at top right to register as a fan. You must register before you will be able to cast votes for any matches.

With over 30 fans already on board, anticipation is running high, especially for the very first match:

Wade Clarke’s Six vs. Emily Short’s Alabaster

Don’t miss your chance to weigh in on the contest and all those that follow – sign up today!

P.S. For those who want to test their prognostication mettle, the Official Prediction Game is your chance to put it to the test. Last year for FIFP, mathbrush and AmandaB were neck-and-neck until very late in the tournament – can you do better? (There’s only one way to prove it…)

Please note: Entries for the prediction game must be received Fri March 7th, the day before matches start, so don’t delay.
