Hello everyone! The Ivory Calico (winner of the 2025 edition of IntroComp) has been finished and delivered, and is available for your enjoyment (one hopes).
It’s an Ink-based CYOA adventure, about novella length, and I started is as a sort of origin story for Kitty Cross, who was/is supposed to be the protagonist of PROJECT SHAMUS (working title), a more VN-style game. It has 6 endings (if I counted them correctly) and possible CW for sexual threats.
A noir story focused on Kitty Cross, a 1940s cigarette girl who gets tangled in a murder she (perhaps?) didn’t commit. In the paranoid and jingoistic atmosphere of WW2 wartime, as a precarious immigrant she can’t afford the police attention which could get her father, an anti-Nazi refugee in hot water.
Can she navigate the cops, the mob, her shady almost-boyfriend and a private detective who can very well save her - or send her to jail?
