Good afternoon.
After publishing “Eclipse”, the first game in “Morgan Tyler’s series”, I am now ready to present its direct sequel, “The Cursed Planet”. The game expands the lore and sets the basis for what is now a “space opera” after all the harmonization work we have done to link those 5 old games in a consistent time and space continuum.
In this episode, Morgan Tyler returns to Planet Thalos, from where he escaped a few years before, just to find it ruled by an even more ruthless tyrant.
Compared to its predecessor, the game is twice as big, but pretty linear in its plot and mostly free of timers and mazes, so the expected playing time is two hours (a little bit more for an in-depth beta testing), and the difficulty level is medium-easy. As usual, it is written in PunyInform, so you’ll need a Z-code interpreter.
EDIT: All of the games in the saga are self-contained, so it’s not necessary to have played Eclipse before playing The Cursed Planet. You will probably miss something about the general plot, but the puzzles don’t require knowledge of the previous game to be solved.
I’m particularly looking for feedback on:
Does the story make sense within the context of the game?
Spelling and grammar errors. (The games are in American English, but UK English spelling should be accepted in commands.)
Are the puzzles well hinted, too easy or too hard?
Was there anything you tried that should have been accepted, but wasn’t.
Is all scenery implemented?
Bugs, of course.
Anything else you think of.
If you can help out with the game, please send me a personal message, and I’ll get it to you a.s.a.p.
The game also comes with a map and a walkthrough, in case you are stuck or you don’t have too much time to spare. The tentative release window is mid-July 2026.
