We invite researchers, scholars, and professionals to submit academic papers exploring all aspects of interactive fiction, narrative games, visual novels, and video game narratives for NarraScope 2025.
This year’s conference will be the first time the conference has offered an academic papers track. A dedicated session will give two authors selected by the Drexel review committee a chance to share their papers as live presentations at the conference.
We encourage submissions that address a wide range of topics within the fields of interactive fiction / narrative games and game narratives. As with the NarraScope conference talk submissions, we are making the papers program an opportunity for scholars in our community to delight us with new and unexpected aspects of the many approaches embraced by our community, rather than wishing to constrain submitters to thematic concerns.
