Strings achievements: playing a (bug)folk song

I’m still missing four of these; I’d love to hear if anyone has found the others…

  • Bugsker. Buskbug?

    • Perform for a li’l critter

  • Mitey kind

    • Get mite from harvestman on chimney

  • Bravo!

    • Play for 15 turns

  • Bravissimo!

    • Play for 35 turns

  • Mitey tasty

    • Let the mite nibble on you

  • Taterfriend

    • help taterbug by the stage in the first time of day.

  • Folk hero

    • Taterfriend and Mitey kind

  • Risky encore

    • Play for turtle before leaving

The ones I don’t have, with some speculation:

  • Kees kees!

    • Try to kiss everything? Something to do with the probos-kiss from the moon at the end? You can examine, listen, smell during a dialogue section, but not kiss. There’s a default response to kissing a bunch of things, a bunch of custom responses, trying to kiss the musicians reminds you that it would be rude and anyway you’re in love with the moon, trying to kiss the ants is great

  • Munchable

    • Are you the Munchable? Or is something else? I haven’t found anything you can eat. And there isn’t really anything around that seems like you could feed it to anything else. i’m pretty sure no one will eat the mite because I tried that for a while thinking it would be Mitey tasty. Does the game track when you get eaten? Maybe you get eaten by a predator, then undo and get eaten by all of them in one run? I have no idea.

  • Music for all!

    • This sounds like it would mean playing for everyone. But… I don’t know. Maybe I’m just missing someone?

  • You absolute legend

    • I’m betting this is another combination: maybe getting all the others?

Okay, confession, we’ve found that two of these achievements are bugged. We hope to fix and update by EoD today. Sorry!

It actually turns out THREE of them were bugged… meaning getting those three in the current version of the game is impossible. So sorry about your wasted time, Josh! The achievements clearly didn’t get the testing they needed and I am very embarrassed. :pensive_face: Good news is, we’ll have an updated version ready soon!

The updated version is now live! I’ll do a more formal post about the update tomorrow, but for now:

The broken achievements—Kees kees, Munchable, and You Absolute Legend—are all now achievable; the first two should be quite easy (that is, it sounds like you would have gotten them if they had been working correctly).

This is a game I started and seemed to me very complex. Now, after reading this thread I am rather entusiasthic in playing It next one.
