I got a little sidetracked for a few months (working on Quest Viva instead), but I’m happy to announce that Squiffy 6.0 is now out of beta.

A few tweaks since the beta:

  • Easier expressions. You can now write {{#if score > 100 and has_key}} instead of the beta’s strange LISPy version {{#if (and (gt score 100) has_key)}}, though you can still use that if you really want to.
  • Upgrading from v5 is easier, as the editor will now convert Squiffy 5 expression syntax for you.
  • A new Vite plugin lets you incorporate .squiffy scripts into a web app.

Coming soon - Squiffy 7. This will have a new editor and there will be a downloadable desktop app again.
