Spring Thing 2026 Ribbons Released

Congratulations go to Joel Burton for Our Lady of Thorns and Tabitha & baezil for Strings: a (bug)folk song, the two recipients of this year’s Best In Show ribbon.

Congratulations also to the rest of the entrants, some of whom have accepted custom Audience Awards that are also now hanging by their games.

All the festival games remain available for play on the Spring Thing site. Thanks to all the authors who entered games, all the prize donors who provided incentive, all the players and reviewers who enjoyed the festival!

Yay! Congrats to the well-deserving winners, and all the other authors too!

Now for the best part of Spring Thing: seeing what fun ribbons people picked.

Congratulations and adulations to all, winners, participants and players alike!

This year, I had the great honour of testing both “Best in Show” entries, and they were already great then.

Just as a final wrap-up to Spring Thing, the games have been uploaded to the IFarchive (I submitted them this weekend and the team quickly unpacked them). Any authors that wish to make further updates can feel free to work through the if archive or itch and/or update the IFDB page to point to the ifarchive as desired. The mega download on itch has also been updated.
