Congratulations go to SV Linwood (@svlin) for Cut the Sky and Ryan Veeder (@Afterward) for The Little Match Girl Approaches the Golden Firmament, the two recipients of this year’s Best In Show ribbon.
Congratulations also to the rest of the entrants, some of whom have accepted custom Audience Awards that are also now hanging by their games.
All the festival games remain available for play on the Spring Thing site. Thanks to all the authors who entered games, all the prize donors who provided incentive, all the players and reviewers who enjoyed the festival.
Prize emails will be going out soon to participants, and if anyone has not yet chosen their audience award ribbons to display, that can be updated once you send it in.
Thanks to everyone for a great year!
Edit: If any participants or winners have closing thoughts, feel free to post here or on your own threads, both are fine!
Most prize distribution emails have now been sent out. There are two that are waiting on me getting either an email from the prize donor or a forum account from the prize receiver so I can connect them. Feel free to contact me if you haven’t received your prize or are having trouble connecting with your donor!
The Thing slowly but steadily becomes part of my life and each year I feel leaving a bigger part of myself on these pages. Thanks Brian and Thanks all you who have shared their reviews and thoughts. Hope to see you soon.
Thanks Mathbrush, splendid work and support; all the authors becouse of their games and congratulations for the winners. There was a great level this year.
Thank you so much for hosting Spring Thing! I received such insightful feedback and I was able to see the incredible work that others are doing in this space. I hope I can either enter again next year or at least donate a prize to help along the celebration of interactive fiction!
Brian, thank you so much for hosting Spring Thing.
As a long time player, first time author, I had great fun. Writing Hell Ride was a great experience.
From the community here at intfiction.org who helped with my stumbles with Inform to the insightful and thoughtful feedback from my beta testers to the folks that took the time to play and review my game for the festival, I thank you all.
