It’s always been funny to me that blue and green together make “grue”, to the point where linguists apparently use the term “grue” to describe the blending of “blue” and “green” in certain languages.
I imagine that with a grue grue, you’d get time to appreciate the beautiful combination of blue and green in its teeth before it eats you.

Also, I didn’t know green jays were a thing.
I had an ex who had two birds: one named “Bleen”, and one named “Grue,” named after their plumage.
For that matter, “bleen” would be a better descriptor, to distinguish these from the offspring of blue jays and grey jays (whiskey jacks), which would also be “grue.”
