I’m looking for a few testers to try out Cart, a stark, interactive fiction set in an England on the cusp of industrialization. The story follows a night-soil carter navigating the early days of urban life as factories rise, pastoral ways fade, and societal tensions simmer.
Cart delves into difficult themes, exploring brutality, social prejudice, and the dehumanizing effects of unchecked power. I’m seeking testers who are okay with strong, unsettling content and who can provide honest, constructive feedback. The game is in Twine, and I believe about half an hour long. It’s not set for release in any comp or jam.
