I have completed my first IF written in Inform 7, a text-based adventure game called Warrior Poet of Mourdrascus. I’m seeking generous souls to play test the experience and provide feedback. If you are interested, please let me know!

You’ve spent four years of study in the Department of Poetry and War, at the prestigious University of Mourdrascus. It’s time for you to graduate and begin your career of adventure as a true Warrior Poet, but there is a complication…

Welcome to the forums! Unfortunately, I don’t have time to playtest your game, but for others’ reference:

• How long would this game take to complete? (even a rough estimate is helpful)
• How difficult is this game? You may want to refer to the cruelty scale.
• If there are puzzles, how difficult are they? Do you have hints or a walkthrough that you can provide?
• Are there any content or trigger warnings that are necessary, or is this a game that children can enjoy?
• Is there any period of time that you would like feedback back by?

Most playtesters will send you a transcript and comments. There will also be the expectation that you will be available to help people when they’re stuck (basically on-demand hinting).

• I estimate the game is completeable within 2 hours.

• I would consider it “polite” – there is some combat, and if you die, the game ends.

• There are some puzzles, I would rate them easy-medium difficulty. There is a map available, and I can provide a walkthrough if necessary.

Are there any content or trigger warnings that are necessary, or is this a game that children can enjoy?

• The content is suitable for 13+, being conservative. Some violence and some snarkiness.

Is there any period of time that you would like feedback back by?

• I would like to have feedback by the end of July 2025.

A transcript and comments would be ideal, any feedback at all is helplful. I will be available to respond with hints and discussion. Thanks again to all considering helping me!
