ScummVM now supports "The Fool's Errand"

EDIT: It’s a bit tricky to work it.

I had to drag my disk file The Game.dsk into the Dumper Companion Tool, then open that.

EDIT 2: Then I had to drag my disk file The Show.dsk into the dumper companion tool, and copy prologue - finale into the same folder as the fool's errand, or else the game crashes when you reach the finale, which is extremely unsatisfying.

I’m eagerly awaiting this new release of ScummVM, it’ll support a whole bunch of new games. Also Uninvited, Shadowgate, Deja Vu 1 and 2…

IF-wise, it supports Worldbuilder games but it’s pretty buggy. Of the three games I tried so far, one crashed early on and one (A Fine Mess) had some logic error bug where a scene didn’t register a click, softlocking the game.

But yeah, ScummVM is getting sexier and sexier. I’m also hoping it’ll support restoring glulx saved games without crashing; as of 2026.3, they do crash on restore.
