Questions by Michael Callaghan vs. old Inform version

Dear all,

I’m using Inform version 6G60 for one project. I’d love to use the Questions extension by Michael Callaghan, but it doesn’t compile:

You wrote 'Real number questioning is an action applying to one real number' : but an action can only apply to things or to kinds of value, for instance: 'photographing is an action applying to one visible thing'.

I found version 5 of the extension (latest one seems to be 5.2) but the problem persists. The reason why I’m using the 6G60 library is that it’s a game in German. What I want to do is to use a simple multiple choice extension. I haven’t tried Hybrid Questions by AW Freyr in this context, but I’d find it inconvenient to use here anyway.

And ideas what I could do?

Thanks and kind regards,
Grues

Edit: I have found an old version of Simple Chat by Mark Tilford that compiles. No idea if that’ll solve my problem as “simple” may be a bit of a euphemism, but I’ll look into that now.

If you don’t intend to use the real number questioning action, you could delete that part from the Questions extension and see if that makes it work.

I managed to find Version 4 of this extension:

Questions.i7x (38.8 KB)

It looks as if it should be compatible with 6G60, if you haven’t decided to use a different extension instead.
