Can I just add a possible reason 4 to use Python for IF: to create a text adventure in a Discord channel using a discord bot (these seem to run on Python).

You can write a Discord bot in any language. Also, you might want to check out this thread about a Discord bot that plays IF (which does happen to be written in Python).
