Let’s celebrate the authors furiously working to get their games ready for IFComp – and let’s spare a thought for those who have yet to have a single playtester actually try their work-in-progress, less than two weeks before the deadline.
On an unrelated note…
Playtesters needed!
Here’s the info:
Twine / choice game (but borrows a few ‘parser-like’ elements)
Very approx duration: 1.5hrs
Genre: Sci-fi / mystery
Two play modes: ‘easy’ and ‘normal’
Optional in-game hints
A complete walkthrough is also included (if needed)
Game is spellchecked, polished, but as yet untested!
The blurb (as it currently stands):
Lost in deep space, a manned cargo vessel has experienced a catastrophic hull failure. The crew are missing, the engines are offline, the AI is MIA, and you…? You’re seeing ghosts.
Search through the detritus to find items you can use.
Just for the benefit of testers who already have the link, a new update has been uploaded with some updates/additions based on Josh’s feedback. (This includes the one request everyone will have: you can now turn off timed timed text from the settings).
