Pian dei Salici: Text Adventure for ChatGPT o1

o1 is available for those who have a paid account : I tried to write a text adventure for it.
Inspired by the works of E-paper Adventures but with a slightly different approach: since o1 is more performing I inserted more material in the prompt and gave less space to ChatGPT’s improvisation.
The fights are there but are not managed by ChatGPT: as in the game books you will have to manage them yourself by rolling the dice.
ChatGPT will only tell you the level of the antagonist on which his statistics depend.
The adventure is still in an very initial phase (I have not done in-depth playtests) but, from what I have seen, with o1 (not mini) it works and is also enjoyable: try it, if you like, and let me know.

The setting is strongly drawn from Silent Hill .

You are stuck in a sort of parallel dimension, cold, foggy and dangerous and you must try to get out alive!

Isn’t o1 rate-limited to like 50 queries per week unless you have a $200/mo pro account?

Yes.

With o1-mini the limit is 50 message per day.

(I have done a quick test: it works with o1-mini also. If the chatbot asks for rolls during combat repeat to him that he shall only ask for the final result.)
