ParserComp 2025 has landed!

Dear Friends,

The long wait is over, the auspicious day has finally arrived, and the wonky red velvet curtain has cranked its uncertain way heavenwards to reveal, upon the well-scrubbed stage, 12 scintillating new parser games to titillate, agitate, and otherwise delight your jaded senses!

Head over the to ParserComp 2025 entries page to view them, weigh them, taste them, and evaluate them in whatever way you see fit (perhaps simply play them? There is no prescription here; please proceed as the spirit moves you).

You can register your formal assessment of each game’s worth via our online voting form*

*(which will be made available just as soon as fos1 and Christopher have finished having breakfast - given the urgency of the situation, we’ve decided to cut down the courses to a mere 6, retaining the marmalade and boiled eggs, but skipping the kippers altogether. We trust you appreciate these sacrifices we make for you). [EDIT: Breakfast is now over, and the form is available, above]

Please retain the information that voting remains open until Sunday 3 August 2025 (we recommend tattooing this on a handy limb), and recall that you hold within your gift the awesome power to bestow upon each of the three lucky winners one of our exclusive solid goldish beribboned commemorative ParserComp 2025 medals (and no, we still have no idea what they will actually look like) - so cast your votes wisely!

And so, until the next gently cajoling forum post encouraging you to play and vote on the games (I expect there will be a few),

With very best wishes,

fos1 and Christopher

A lovely collection of parser games! I was working through the downloads, and I found that The Last Audit of the Damned isn’t open for download yet. The author may have forgotten to switch it to public?

EDIT: same for Mystery Academy

Yes, I noticed that. It seems that, with a nicely poised sense of the dramatic, the author (thoughtauction) is further whetting appetites and bating breaths by making their two games mysteriously unavailable to play…

I will suggest they rectify the situation!

Just now up. I arose early to get on with ParserComp.

Oh! A knock on the door. This early?

It seems Uber Eats just delivered a six course meal courtesy of Christopher. I may be awhile, grits, scrambled eggs with cheese, a bowl of fruit and blueberry pancakes! Wahoo!

After such a nice feast, I may have to go back and take a nap…

I am Happy becouse I like Parsercomp very much. There are many offline games and I can see that Garry has inscribed a game which always is a good point.
