So far 24 intrepid authors have joined and one submission has already set the pace. What a great start!
It has been decided that authors will still have the option to opt out of automatic submission to the IF Archive. A poll on this topic was very nearly split 50/50.
I just received the award lanterns for ParserComp 2024. They were custom built by gremlins and will only display their aura when possessed by their rightful owners…
PS. Your game is listed in the submissions but visiting the game page is restricted through the submissions page. All of the games are. They should be available beginning with the judging period.
Is AI-generated code, content or images permitted in ParserComp? I’m only asking because it’s not mentioned in the rules and it seems to be a hot topic.
You are OK to go ahead and make your entry public as long as it is not advertised. It will stay restricted in ParserComp until the judging period opens in a couple of days.
At this point 13 games are listed in the submission page. There have been 17 entered. At this point, it is OK to make the games public. The ParserComp page will not allow ratings until July 1, 2024.
Only 2 days left for submissions. The lamp is getting very dim.
I’m totally asking for a friend, Randy Schwartz, who may or may not be running late, even though he has had SOME good testing, he swears … the rules say “end of day June 30” but the end time on Itch.io equates to noon June 30th central time.
Did you all mean to set it (a la IFComp) to 11:59 PM or whatever?
If you hover over the closing date, the tooltip tells you that the actual closing time is 17:00 on 30 June 2024 UTC, whereas the countdown timer shows it as the local time in your time zone. In my case, it’s 3:00 a.m. on 1 July 2024.
