Update 1: On IFDB’s search/browse page, you can now sort game results by their estimated play time–from shortest to longest, or longest to shortest. When you sort this way, each game’s estimated play time will display as part of the results.
Update 2:Your “played games” list now shows the times you have entered for the games on your list. If you’ve set your “played games” list to public, other users will be able to see your times on your list, too.
Edit: Actually, there are three updates!
Update 3: You can now get the estimated play time for a game via IFDB’s API.
I don’t seem to have the option to sort my wishlist by playtime, which feels like it would be useful (e.g. when you want to try a new game but only have the time for something short). Is that supposed to be an option?
The playlist page doesn’t have any new sorting options, though that’s an interesting idea.
But you could do a search for games on your wishlist using “willplay:yes,” and sort the results from shortest to longest. (That search syntax only works if you’re logged in, of course.)
This is really helpful! I’m glad the time feature was added in, honestly - I don’t usually like changes to things (the Dracula theme changed on this forum!) but for long journeys o want long games. This is really good for that!
