Multiple [Setting (Library Extensions)] when actions on?

Hello Everyone,

First time poster here.

I am a bit confused with the “actions on” debug command because before it prints the action it keeps showing multiple lines of [Setting (Library Extensions).BetweenCalls to *0 or 73074*] or [setting (Library Exensions).ext_number_1 to *1 or 2*]. Sometimes these repeat dozens of times.

From the examples I have seen they do not have this problem and I am unsure what has caused it?

I’m not altogether familiar with I6 – I know in I7 if you use the memory economy it will change the messages to numbers. If you are using the memory economy try disabling it and see what happens. This worked for me in I7.

Thank you for the reply,
The messages work and have not changed into numbers. The problem I have is how the [setting] features is printing before the action is shown, and I have not seen this behavior anywhere else. I might start a new project to see if it is something I have done in my file.

That sounds like the output from >CHANGES.

What version of the Standard Library are you using?

EDIT: Also, welcome.

I thought it looked like Changes too. I am currently using version 6.12.7 of the library, which I believe is the latest one.

Thank you for the welcome!

I knew that this had come up before. See: Tracing Verbs Give Unexpected Output

Thank you so much for your help. Apologies for not tracking down the solution earlier.

Don’t worry about not finding the previous topic – search is pretty sensitive to wording. Now future searchers with the same problem will have an easier time of it because they might find this thread.

Again, welcome to the forum! If you have any other questions, ask away.
