It’s a French site and accompanying tool for creating choice narratives, apparently. Found it here.
Moiki is a program to create choice-based IF without needing to code, made by kaelhem, a French member of the community. It is a fairly recent tool (March 2020) that is quite popular with the French community. It’s pretty easy to pick up, and it makes for fun short-ish stories. There are also neat features like roll-dices, “objects” (for inventory, traits, companions, achievements), game stats (visited total passages, endings win/loss). You can also import audio tracks and image.
It has its own hosting platform (Social Club) and host contests once it a while.
The program was first only available in French, then translated into English, and with the last update, Spanish. Most users hang out in the Moiki Discord (mostly French people) or the French community’s.
It looks like it’s kinda like Twine, in that it’s for choice-based games and formatted visually (flowchart-style).
The mapping does give this vibe, yes, but you see more than Twine shows (i.e. the choices creating branching + conditions for specific branches → which you can click on to edit directly).
It is, however, more limited. Each choice block is limited to 4 options (incl. hidden through conditions). And I wouldn’t really recommend it for games including long blocks of text (due to how the text is displayed on the screen, even with scrolling).
(but it’s really fun to play around, especially the not having to code part
I even made a Cloak of Darkness port)
