Mac Inform 10.1.2 app and Tahoe

Tahoe’s been out a while now but I’m still on Sonoma, mostly because whenever a new mac os comes out, it takes ages for Native Instruments to get all its music apps working right.

Now that I’m potentially ready to upgrade, I want to check something that seems likely – that the current Inform 10.1.2 app for Mac, from 2022 (Releases · ganelson/inform · GitHub) runs fine on Tahoe?

Seems to work fine here. I haven’t used it a lot, though.

Is this it? One semi-endorsement from Petter, who hasn’t used it much? Is there no-one using Inform 7 on Mac Tahoe daily?

(btw, @Angstsmurf I’m very grateful for your data)

Like Wade, I use music software, much of which are notoriously finicky when it comes to major OS updates. I’m still on macOS Catalina (10.15.7). Before that, I hung on to Mavericks (10.9) as long as I could, skipping completely through El Capitan, Sierra, High Sierra, and Mojave.

EDIT: I also have a really old midi/digital audio interface that is no longer being manufactured or supported. The last time I upgraded I had a heck of a time getting that to work.

I used Inform 1.82 on macOS Tahoe 26.2 to write my Christmas adventure game for friends, I didn’t encounter any problems.

That sounds pretty good! I think I’m gonna upgrade soon, personally accepting all responsibility for any consequences, of course.

I upgraded from Sonoma to Tahoe. Inform 10.1.2 seems to be running fine.
