A minor but irrelevant correction: the story file is intended to be compatible with standard interpreters so that it runs a text-only version of the game on them. The story file switches on Vorple-specific features only if it detects that it’s being run on the Vorple interpreter. The communication between the interpreter and the story file happens via (virtual) files so it wouldn’t be visible to the player anyway.
