Latest updates to The BDB Project

If you’re not familiar with The BDB Project, it was originally announced here. Read that if you don’t know what it’s about. I’ll use this thread to provide updates and announcements of new releases.

First of all, my partner in crime, Gianluca Girelli (@g0blin), recently released two new games. These are the only two games in the Murray Shannon series:

The story now makes sense (compared to the original games) and early feedback has been very positive. I think they’re now fun to play, although they’re now screaming out for a sequel.

Most importantly, I’ve now added disk images for these games for lots of non-Commodore retro computers. I’ve also added Apple IIe disk images for all the games that have been published so far. This means that all eight games can now be played online, z5 files can be downloaded to play in your favourite Z-code interpreter or Spectrum Next, and disk images can be downloaded to play on the following retro emulators or real hardware:

  • Amiga
  • Amstrad CPC/PCW
  • Apple IIe
  • Atari 130XE
  • Atari ST
  • BBC/Electron
  • Commodore 64
  • Commodore 128
  • Commodore Plus/4
  • MEGA 65
  • MSX

Very few people in the many retro communities hang out here, so please pass the word.
