I plug the monthly Write Now With Scrivener podcast on here a couple of times a year, because I think it is roundly excellent on and for writers, writing and publishing, whether you use Scrivener or not.
The June 2024 episode interviews Kate Heartfield, who has written two Choice Of… games and novels and other things. It’s about 30 minutes, like most eps.
She talks mostly about research and process for writing historical fiction. No talk on the IF front, unfortunately (for dwellers of this forum) but I think it’s still the first episode featuring any IF author.
I haven’t tried writing in Markdown in Scrivener myself, but this thread I Googled seems to be saying yes and/or no. It seems to depend on what/how you want to use Markdown.
On the topic of Scrivener and other apps, it seems Scrivener has some pretty advanced interactions available. For instance Kate mentioned using an app (that I have, got in a bundle, have never used) called Aeon Timeline to record dates for her fiction’s timeline. And Scrivener could do things like automatically update all mentions of a character’s age to the correct value throughout the document if she changed the character’s age in Aeon Timeline.
