Twine Version: 2.3.16
Story Format: Sugarcube 2.36.1
Hi, after publishing my game online on sites like neocities.org, is there any way to be able to record the choices most chosen by players, to get feedback on the things they like the most?

You may find that since that article was written in 2018 Google has changed the API being used access the Sheet, from memory the change was related to security.
Twine could use the same recording protocol as Parchment does, which could be particularly useful for IFComp entries, but someone would have to write the plugin of course.
The Twine 2.x application itself is just responsible for embedding the Passage meta data of a project into the template of the selected Story Format when a Story HTML file is generated.
It is the Story Format that is responsible for defining the features and JavaScript API (if it has one) of its specific engine, so such a “plugin” would need to be developed for each story format separately.
Right, that makes sense.
If anyone ever was interested in using the same recording format as GlkOte/Parchment etc, it’s documented here: asyncglk/tools/transcript-server at master · curiousdannii/asyncglk · GitHub
It’s a general logging format so you could send information about both choices as well as in-text-replacements, anything really. But you’d have to then do more processing on the transcripts in order to get data about most common choices.
