Is there a way to keep the thumbnail of the original author of a post in the forum's lists of posts?

I keep seeing who replied last. I’m more concerned with who was the original poster at a glance, as that is how I navigate the forums or come back to a familiar post. And I am better with “faces”, than names. Seeing me or a random person where a post I think should be, is off putting.

I know there is a function to be alerted to replies and you can then proceed back to the post. But I’d like an option to keep the original poster profile pic up, not the last commenter, if it’s not too much trouble. Maybe there is already an option and I am missing it.
Thank you.

Is the first person in the list not the OP? The last-replied is surrounded by a blue halo, if I’m not mistaken.

I think it is on the /latest page (i.e. the Topics link in the left hand sidebar), but not on the right-hand column list of the front page. But I browse on /latest so maybe the OP could give that a try.

You might want to check some of the other forum themes. I think there is at least one that only shows the OP.

George and Hidnook are correct - in the Latest view the original poster is listed first, and the most frequent posters follow. You can hover over the icon to see this information.

Some alternate themes to consider:

Brutalist - this is in dark mode, but it displays the original poster in text at the end of a post row.

Minima has the OP at the top of the post with a mini avatar.
