Dunno why, but the site is loading really slowly, even on my 600mbps fiber connection.
//edit: And now it stopped loading for me at all, even though pings to the domain resolve correctly.

It’s absolutely loading really slowly, it’s not just you
Any other online IF repositories out there?
Not sure [edit: what kind of repo you are looking for], but maybe https://ifdb.org/
The site moves okay for me now, with just a little lag on each page load. Whatever it was must have passed. And are you thinking of something like the IF Archive, or more like the ADRIFT website?
Thanks, learned about the IF Archive while the site was down. Didn’t know about the Adrift website.
Anyhoo, at the peak of it I even put the url into downforeveryoneorjustme and it told me it was not just me. Site maintenance perhaps?
In my experience textadventures.co.uk runs slowly or goes down relatively frequently; it’s generally a good idea to download games and play them offline, I find.
(Of course you didn’t indicate that you don’t do that, just saying it as a PSA for anyone watching the thread).
I think I must defend the person or organisation which runs the site. Hosting a site is a question of money and time. Sometimes you can afford only a cheap hosting treaty which leads to slowdown, insecurities, being offline, and similar problems.
I know, I wasn’t attacking it, just noticing obvious facts. Glad it works now, by the way.
