As usual, I’ve grabbed a little time before work to keep hammering away at my entry. This morning I’ve just added the ABOUT and CREDITS responses, two things that are good to have and always take more time than you think…

There’s not much you can do on your own, but the sinister stranger may be able to help, if you give him a little direction. This game was made for the Iron ChIF: Pilot Episode on intfiction.org: a plucky challenger - that’s me - and a seasoned veteran - Daniel Stelzer - each made a game in one week based on the prompt: “a device that emits one or more mysterious messages in a non-human language”. This is the competition version of my entry, which probably shows the constraints of its circumstances!

Oh yes, and while lying in bed, I turned the title over and over in my head until it had morphed into “Ancient Treasure, Secret Spider”. Although it’s still possible that I’ll pull a Dr Strangelove and throw the long title in as well…

Tomorrow morning before work is my last chance to work on my entry before the deadline. But I think if I actually leave anything for then, I’m asking for trouble. That means: tonight is the night.
